Such a cute cafe by the water in Fells Point! Lots of indoor seating for studying/working or brunch/coffee, some outdoor seating as well. Ordered a fruit pastry and drip coffee, both were delicious. A bunch of different pastries and savory sandwich items are available, some of which are made fresh. Hope to be back!
A classic study spot in Fells! I have consistently enjoyed their sandwich selection but have found their drinks to be hit or miss. My favorite sandwich I've had there is the pesto artichoke sandwich with pickled onions, white bean mash, roasted peppers, arugula, pesto, and artichoke. Possibly the best vegan sandwich I've ever had! I've found their matcha to be pretty consistently watery, however, and while the lemonade and palmer were good they were both very pricey. Service was good, but really the price overall is high for me to be a regular. The best part of Pitango has to be the ambiance--the beautiful view, wooden furniture, and music playing all add to the vibes of the place and bring me back time after time.
Busy, popular bakery at Fell's Point [Baltimore MD] On the waterfront at Fell's Point is this bakery with options for a hearty breakfast or an afternoon snack. Since we just came from breakfast in the same area we just wanted something sweet from the bakery. When we walked inside... this was around noon, the cafe was full, busy at peak lunch time. The queue had two people ahead of me and I proceeded to order a chocolate croissant when it was my turn.... soft, flaky and gently warmed chocolate croissant... could use a little more chocolate inside the pastry but It was okay. It was a quick in and out transaction and experience. Review #3667
As usual, Pitango still tops my cafe chart list in Baltimore! I went a few days ago to do some work and got a matcha lemonade(not on their menu, but they make the best matcha around!) servers were kind as usual and the place was cozy and welcoming, definitely nice after a cold winters day! Don't miss Pitango!
Rustico and hot coco were amazingggg!! We loved this spot everything was delicious. I would highly recommend and go back again. The staff were super kind and the ambiance is very laid back. It was perfect for a cold rainy day.
I ordered the Rustico sandwich, a delicious mix of Prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, and basil on fresh focaccia. To drink, I had the Pitango Palmer, an addictive blend of mint lemonade and tea. While Pitango is a great place to work remotely, I opted to sit on the patio on this surprisingly warm and sunny Monday afternoon in November.
Such a staple in Fells Point. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet. The views are great - it's right on the water and they now stay open late which is nice as a lot of coffee shops close early afternoon. The avocado toast here is the best thing on the menu and I think in the entire state. There's pistachios mint sumac lemon chili peppers. It's so delicious and worth the $14. The staff has gone through changes since COVID - and now they offer alcohol and wine at night and cheese boards. It's always packed bc of location - they have these 70 beads on the doors for birds. Decent WiFi and a popular working spot. I've tried most things on their menu and think you should only get their coffees - the espresso is nice and the avocado toast. I like to take it to go when I can and add the egg at home! Their pasties fall flat for me.
Pitango... you've charmed me Ever since my first visit back in March, I've come by about 5 other times. This cafe is super busy during weekends, and parking can feel impossible with the exception of if you come really early. Street parking is challenging but can absolutely be found within 1-2 blocks away on a weekday. There is a lot of mainly indoor but also some outdoor seating. It is nice to sit and study in on a weekday, but not on a weekend when it is far too loud for this. I stand by my review that their matcha lattes are subpar. I think the ratio of matcha powder to milk is completely off, and you end up with an almost entirely milky drink. This does change based on the barista but the inconsistency still leaves me with that at a 1.5/5. The $1.25 charge for alternative milk still remains so pricy to me I cannot understand it. I think Pitango shines with their baked goods and sandwiches. Every baked good I've had here has been 5/5, they are freshly baked and just melt in your mouth. I am very impressed by these from their spinach feta danish to their everything danish, all their pastries that I've tried are delicious. They do change out their baked good items every so often but I don't mind trying things out.
The second time here. Sandwiches are always very good. I ordered the morning sandwich (sub croissant for focaccia) and it turned out to be good. We also had chicken sandwich which is particularly flavorful. In sandwiches I feel they add olive oil very generously, which adds the "Italian flavor " of the sandwiches. This place is the corner near the harbor, good view, and also great for study or catch up with friends.
I came here on a Tuesday evening just to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. They have decaf espresso, so it was a perfect spot for later in the night to have a coffee drink. Service was efficient and friendly. I look forward to coming back to try their focaccia bread that looks so delicious in the window. I might work and sit inside when I come back. There is also a cute self-serve flower stand near the outdoor seating, which was a nice touch.
